About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide the men in our community a safe space where they are able to better themselves mentally, emotionally, and financially.

Our Vision

D.A.C’s vision is to repair the sense of brotherhood within our community. We want to build men up and equip them with the tools they need to succeed.

Our Values

Using the word of God as the foundation of our mission.

Brotherhood – Being present for one another.

Integrity - Being honest and having strong moral principles.

Being an upstanding father and a pillar for ones family.

Our Story

D.A.C is a non-profit geared towards fathers in the Kansas City community who have lost a child to violence or has a child who is a survivor of violence. Our mission is to provide these fathers a safe space to express themselves and/or grieve. We want to provide support to fathers in the community by providing faith based counseling and group healing. We are geared towards fathers who have experienced this kind of loss, however, our services are open to any man who needs them.

Andre Harris

Founder

The birth of this non-profit stemmed from a a tragic event that occurred within the community that resulted in the passing of a 4 year old boy named LeGend Taliferro. Being a father himself, Andre felt an overwhelming mixture of emotions and noticed that during all media coverage of this tragedy, no one was taking time to comfort LeGend’s father. From there it was put on Andre’s heart to create a safe space for fathers to grieve and heal from events such as the loss of a child. That safe space is D.A.C.
